People from India and China had grown lotus seeds as a food for centuries before pesticides, artificial fertilizers or genetic modification had even been invented. The Lotus flower is in fact a giant lily found in wetlands, and contains edible seeds. Known for its medicinal and nutritional values, we decided to roast and flavor them. By just roasting the seeds and adding some flavors we had a very new, delicious snack!
